Brief Summary

A republic can live through one bad election. Ours already has, more than once.

In 1824, Andrew Jackson won the most votes and the most electoral votes, but nobody had a majority. The House of Representatives picked John Quincy Adams. Adams then made Henry Clay his Secretary of State, and half the country called it the corrupt bargain.

In 1876, the counts in three whole states were disputed — Florida, Louisiana, and South Carolina. The two parties cut a deal. Rutherford B. Hayes got the White House, federal troops left the South, and Reconstruction ended. Black Americans in the South paid for that deal for the next ninety years.

Both elections were bad. But we as country survived.

What a republic cannot survive is bad election after bad election after bad election. One disputed count is a crisis, and a country gets through a crisis. A pattern is different. A pattern teaches ordinary people that their vote does not really count, and once they believe that, our country has lost them.

That is what this book is about.

The pattern is a set of repeatable, corrupt tactics. They get run at the state and local level year after year, and in 2020 we saw them run at the presidential level. If our republic is going to trust its elections again, we have to end this corruption.

Seth Keshel is a former Captain in United States Army Military Intelligence and an Afghanistan veteran. His job was finding the patterns hiding inside data. After 2020 he pointed those same skills at voter registration records and county-level election results. Post Hill Press published the book on March 5, 2026.

Newt Gingrich wrote the foreword, and he does not soften his final analysis. He writes that the fight for fair elections is the fight for the survival of the Republic.

Now, here is what makes this book better than most on the subject. Keshel starts with history, not with 2020. He takes you back to Boss Tweed and Tammany Hall in the mid 1800’s, men who ran elections like a business and understood one simple thing: whoever controls how the votes get counted controls who wins.

None of this is new. Ballot harvesting is an old trick wearing a new suit.

After 2020, Keshel built an incredible presentation he called The Ten Irrefutable Points of the 2020 Election. He took it to hundreds of rooms across this country, and you will have to buy the book to get those ten points — along with his own ten-point plan to fix our elections, which runs from in-person paper voting, clean voter rolls, and photo ID to ending harvesting and mail-in ballots, counts ordinary citizens can check, and prison for those who cheat.

His book is worth the price and so much more! As the young kids say these days, Seth brings the receipts.

Back to our list, That last one matters more than most people think—prison time for people who break election laws. lets face it, a law with no punishment attached to it is only a suggestion. Tweed’s machine understood that, and so does Keshel.

The timing of this book is perfect. The SAVE America Act—currently before Congress —would require proof of citizenship to register and photo ID to vote. Two huge items to restore integrity and trust to our elections.

It passed the House in February of 2026 and has been stuck in the Senate ever since. The midterms are coming either way and our country’s leaders will have to make a decision.

Two Important Quotes

1. “Early voting takes up the other side of the corruption coin it shares with mail-in voting.”

Here’s one sentence that does a lot of work. Two sides of the same coin.

Keshel’s point is that early voting and mail-in voting open the same door. Both stretch an election out over weeks instead of settling it in a day. Both move ballots away from a polling place where people are watching. The longer a ballot is out in the world, and the more hands it passes through, the harder it gets to say for certain what happened to it.

Election Day used to be a day. That is not nostalgia. That is frankly, a security argument.

Keshel nails this one with this quote from the book:

“To put it in plain language, imagine an Easter Egg hunt in your backyard with all the kids in the neighborhood. You have put fifty eggs in the yard and if your son gets twenty-six, he wins by default. If you give all the kids twenty seconds to find as many eggs as possible, your son may lose. If you give the kids fifteen minutes and your son knows exactly where to find them, he’s golden.”

2. “I described the true national pandemic as ‘electile dysfunction’... Electile dysfunction is when you have difficulty maintaining an election... or when your election lasts for longer than four days.”

LOL. That is a clever play on words, and I laughed out loud the first time I heard it.

Here is why it works. This subject—American election fraud—gets deep in the weeds in a hurry — registration trends, county turnout, percentages stacked on top of percentages. Most people check out somewhere in the middle of all that, and I do not blame them one bit. But this very thing, is why Seth’s writing and presentation skills are so good. He breaks down the complex to the simple for the rest of us for you and me.

Seth’s clever humor is ACTUALLY how I discovered him. LOL, I caught a clip of him delivering that line — either at a speaking event or on 2WAY, the great political interactive show from Mark Halperin (check that out if you haven’t—its one of the best shows out there now) I am not certain which one it was, but it stuck with me either way. Then, the great thing Seth did was put that phrase—Electile dysfunction—on ball caps and used it at every event after that.

Some conservatives will not like how crude it is but I found it hilarious. I believe the joke does something a spreadsheet cannot do. It pulls you out of the numbers and lets you think about our elections in plain common sense terms.

My Nuggets of Wisdom!

I believe this is the most important book in 2026! The book runs 6 hours and 29 minutes on Audible, and at 1.5x speed it moves very, very fast.

Why? because where I started and where I finished after reading the book.

Now let me be honest about where I started. I had already read about Tammany Hall and Boss Tweed, so I knew election corruption in America was real, but knowing corruption exists and being convinced about one specific election are two different things. The Ten Irrefutable Points of the 2020 Election is what convinced me — county by county, registration numbers, patterns going back more than a hundred years, one man doing the boring work nobody else had the patience to do.

And here comes our most important nugget.

A republic does not die on the day the votes are cast. It dies on the day its citizens stop believing the vote count. Not the winner. The belief.

A republic dies when its citizens stop believing the vote count. And we the citizens can no longer trust in that vote count if we dont make substantial reforms.

Twenty years ago, in September of 2005, a federal commission led by Jimmy Carter, a Democrat president, and James Baker III, a Republican Secretary of State, concluded that absentee ballots were the largest source of possible voter fraud in our system.

A Democrat president said that. Again, twenty years ago.

We need to restore trust and fairness to our elections. This book gives you the evidence for why we lost it, and the fix starts with voter ID as the most simple fix.

And every state in this union should want voter ID. Right now, 27 states have no photo ID requirement to vote.

Twenty-seven states!! Thats crazy! That speaks volumes.

Final Recommendation

If you read one book this year about our political process, read this book. The 2020 election had many shenanigans, and Keshel lays them out one by one. You have been told for six years that you are imagining things. Keshel hands you the data and the receipts

Read it if you love history and have never connected Tammany Hall to Maricopa County, AZ.

And read it if you disagree with me. Keshel makes claims that courts and election officials around the country have rejected. Weigh his numbers against theirs, but actually weigh them.

Let me be clear about where I landed after reading the book. His research convinced me that the 2020 election was corrupted beyond a doubt. Not probably. Not maybe. Beyond a doubt.

And as the great senator from Louisiana, John Kennedy, put it recently: “we are going to have to get some new conspiracy theories.” Why? Because the old ones keep turning out to be true.

LOL. Exactly.

Here is what I want you to do.

Pray for election integrity in this country. A country and people that has lost trust in one another cannot pass a law to get that trust back. That is God’s work before it is Congress’s work.

Then pray and press your senator on the SAVE America Act. Proof of citizenship to register. Photo ID to vote. Call. Write. Our Senators have to show up.

Because a republic does not die on the day the votes are cast. It dies on the day its citizens stop believing and trusting the vote count.

Free and fair elections is the first building block of self-government—We MUST trust our elections.
