LM#57--The American People Have Spoken...The Cultural Revolution is OVER!

Let's talk about it on this Liberty Minute. 0:41 Hello, I am David and welcome back to another Liberty Minute, the post-election day edition of the Liberty Minute, as we are going to recording. The results are not fully in, but the picture of a new United States is clearly emerging, is clearly emerging and what we can see now is the American people saw a cultural revolution that started in 2006 with the 2006 congressional elections and ushered in a group of radical, radical Democrats who were loud and bullied everyone. That set off a chain reaction. That's what happens with most revolutions when that prairie fire starts gets all out of control.

1:29 2008, americans voted for their first black president, who campaigned on traditional american values and with platitudes of hope and change. Very quickly, once in office, barack Obama turned hard, hard left no longer the unifier, unifier in chief. He apologized for all of America's sins. He went on the worldwide lecture tour to all the world capitals apologizing on America's behalf. Clearly he was ashamed. His version of America was clearly written by Howard Zinn, a radical Marxist view of American history nowhere close to the actual truth.

2:17 But most Americans could not see this and would not see this. After all, it was America's first black president. Now most Americans have been taught this form of Howard Zinn, us history and something we're going to have to change to make America flourish again. 2012, obama won again and Americans were not going to reelect were not going to not reelect their first black president. But he did not learn his radical Marxist view of America that it doesn't really work with the real America that most Americans were living in.

2:59 Then came the election of 2016. Hillary Clinton was the heir apparent. She was supposed to win. The American people were not sold on Donald Trump, but by now most Americans were quite wary of the radical ways of Barack Obama. They knew they were in a cultural revolution, but they couldn't exactly pinpoint what was going on. America chose a slightly different path the vaunted third term of Barack Obama's America and his worldview that Marxist, radical worldview of Howard Zinn that was not validated in 2016.

3:42 And for the next four years, they dehumanized Donald Trump, drug him through fake impeachments. The major media and legacy press sold out to stop Trump. And just when the economy was starting to come back stronger than clearly before, certainly then, all the way to the early 2000s, right after 9-11, the COVID pandemic hit and the election of 2020 was complete, with all of its voting shenanigans that are clearly evident. Now we can see the forest from the trees now and boy, that election of 2020 looks more and more suspicious every day.

4:25 The radical march of the Marxists under Obama and Biden, and then out with Kamala Harris, was still going. It was unrepentant, unbowed, undeterred. Their worldview they thought was true, right and correct. And after the most unpredictable and unprecedented 2024 campaign, against all the odds, the American people spoke, and they spoke loudly. The cultural revolution that began in 2006 was effectively stopped yesterday morning, november 6th 2024. Now, first things first.

5:05 I would recommend Donald Trump to get Eric, prince of Blackwater fame, to oversee all of his security detail and give Eric the authority to gut all leadership at the Secret Service, who has had two assassination attempts already, and a Secret Service who has been playing politics with his life, with whom they are sworn to protect and guard needs to be completely and overwhelmingly overhauled. Eric has guarded some of the most sensitive people around the world and some of the biggest crap holes in the world.

5:45 Number two Trump was reelected because of the economy, plain and simple. He needs to get the economy rolling again. He needs to bring back the economic shop of Art Laffer, stephen Moore and Larry Kudlow, who was in his first term. He needs to get the economic tax bills written up and start working with Congress immediately. The Senate majority leader will be important. We don't know the landscape of the House just yet. It's predicted to be roughly plus two plus four, a very slim working majority, not big margins. But then again there was only some 30 to 45 contested and competitive house seats.

6:30 This speaks more to a need for term limits than anything else. Citizen politicians we no longer have but folks who feed off the government's teat for some 20 to 30 years. This has to change. But we have more pressing and greater priorities right now. In the immediate term, getting the economy moving is just that priority. We are $35 trillion in debt with no signs of slowing down. We have to rein in government waste and reduce government spending. We need to grow the economy with 4% GDP growth year over year over year, like we did in 83, 84, 85, 86, 87.

7:14 We have to gut and cut and then grow our way out of this $35 trillion in debt, just like any household would have to do. Cut expenses and grow your income. If you've got to take a second job, if you want to get a promotion, that's the way to grow and get out of this hole. But we can do it. It just takes political will and it takes the folks who have the courage to do it, and we now have such people. We need to hold their feet to the fire because the time is short. This is no time to just sit and take up space. Debt is piling up Now. A sleeper issue that no one talked about was the Supreme Court, and we will likely see probably the most courageous justice in my lifetime, clarence Thomas.

8:01 He will retire in the next year at age 76. Sam Alito is right behind him at age 74. And I recommend Senator Mike Lee to replace Justice Thomas. Senator Lee is 53 years old and he is perhaps the best nominee who has already been clearly vetted. There will be no David Souters, somebody that we don't know how he's going to rule on most judicial activist type topics. Senator Lee writes extremely well. He can certainly replace Clarence Thomas. And the second most important issue for the American voter was illegal immigration. And the second most important issue for the American voter was illegal immigration.

8:44 Deportations should be coming, the wall needs to be finalized and Trump's policies that were working like Remain in Mexico and to overhaul the asylum process needs to be reinstated on day one. There can be no more blanket invitation to illegally come to our country. We need to only accept legal immigrants and we love legal immigrants because they start off by not breaking our law. The invasion at the southern border has to stop Now. Two other quick, important takeaways from this election was that the fundamental mores of our constitutional republic court packing and ending the 150 year old practice of the senate filibuster those are dead on arrival americans, by and large, almost anywhere and everywhere, in every state, no matter liberal, no matter red or blue, they said nope.

9:50 The country is fundamentally and foundationally a good country with a long history of doing the right thing over time. We're going to keep in place the nine Supreme Court justices and we're not going to abolish the Electoral College and we're not going to end the Senate filibuster. Radical, radical ideas that are trying to fundamentally transform the country, and we're not going to go that way. We appreciate the vote of confidence from the American public and what we need to reinstate and restart is American civics, so our citizens can understand why these fundamentals are in place in our country. Frankly, the most promising thing and the thing that gave me the most hope was over 80% of all Americans support voter ID.

10:34 We have to secure our elections. Illegal immigrants should not and cannot be voting in our elections. That's illegal. And lastly, our quick take is there should be a funeral. There should be a funeral from the mainstream media and for the legacy press. Build that Viking funeral. Build it large and strong so it burns all the way up to the sky. That Viking funeral fire for the mainstream media and the legacy press is going to be glorious. They have been lying for over 50 years to the American people over and over again, and long-form podcast and citizen journalism is now more trusted and more effective at finding and delivering the truth.

11:31 Light that fire and burn brightly, baby. Now some notables and quotables and honorable mentions from the last two nights. We can't wait to see what Elon Musk does to the Department of Government Efficiency. We need to cut some $2 trillion out of the budget, but Washington will throw a temper tantrum not seen since you took candy away from a two-year-old without a nap. It's going to be gnashing of teeth and many will claim and run to the first camera. They can see that we're throwing grandma off a ledge.

12:12 It will not be true. The administrative state that has grown for some 100 years, needs to be gutted completely and irrevocably. Big government, as Ronald Reagan said, is the problem, not part of the problem, is the whole problem. This, frankly, is the greatest opportunity since 1980 to change, to fundamentally change the course of government, the direction of government. We would like to see Vivek Ramaswamy find a place in the presidential cabinet. We would like to see Vivek Ramaswamy find a place in the presidential cabinet. We would like to see Tulsi Gabbard in that cabinet as well, perhaps as NSC advisor.

12:56 Joe Rogan needs to get a big shout out and President Trump should honor him with a long-time, first traditional sit-down interview with the incoming president, normally reserved for legacy and mainstream media and I think it would be a good proverbial number one, if you know what I mean to all of them, to the mainstream media and the legacy press, president Trump goes right back to Joe Rogan for a long sit down, long-form interview. Like I said, the major news networks CBS, nbc, abc they're no longer relevant, they've been lying for too long. So, mr President-elect, I recommend you honor Joe Rogan with your first sit-down interview.

13:41 Mr Vice President-elect, my own proud Ohio Senator, jd Vance, pick two or three issues that you can lead on, because we will need you in four years and we want you to be very prepared. A special word of thanks goes to the African Americans who voted for Trump and, finally, who trusted the GOP again. President Trump doubled his number, by all accounts, at our last check, from 8% to some 15 to 16%, depending on where you looked. The GOP is your rightful home and your rightful place. As I said the last time, we are the party of Lincoln and had radical Democrats not stopped reconstruction in the South in 1876, your ancestors would have been far, far better off.

14:33 But we can't. But we can only write that ship now and help you economically and culturally by rebuilding your nuclear families and providing very good jobs all across this great land. Special shout out to Hispanics, who voted in overwhelming numbers. You are part of the new coalition, the GOP. You're more diverse, yet more of what all Americans have ever wanted the opportunity to earn the American dream and you're doing just that. You have great family values. You want great, safe streets and cities, and you're doing just that. You have great family values. You want great, safe streets and cities, and we all want that too.

15:15 Welcome to the Big Ten For those strong and smart women who showed up who wanted to return to an America not allowing men and women's sports, not allowing the government to allow mutilation of our kids. Thank you, we appreciate you showing up, we value your contribution and we are very happy that we have so many strong, smart women in our party. They indeed wanted to turn the page, as Kamala Harris said, but they went to turn the page on the nightmare of the last eight years of this mental illness ravaging our country, of kids, of men saying they want to play women's sports and not everybody overwhelmingly rejecting it at face value, immediately, right then and there.

16:09 Oh, and can we please let's make a special note. We recommend Megyn Kelly's press secretary to deal with an overrated and hostile media that will shout and debate and argue at every press conference for the next four years. We anticipate that and Megyn Kelly would be our recommendation. She can laugh and smile and say I was part of you one time so I know what you're doing and, frankly, that's a garbage question. So we'll go to the next question and we will tune in to gladly see them pout and cry sorrowful tears.

16:51 Finally, let's get to the man. The man who I doubted in 2016,. The man who, eventually, I had to relook at in 2018, and the man who I voted for in 2020 and was disappointed with how he handled COVID. But the guy who took the bullets literally took the bullets. It is unbelievably the most remarkable, the most incredible comeback and, frankly, the greatest campaign in US American history, and I'm not sure why the major media is throwing out Grover Cleveland as some great comeback.

17:32 The press needs to do some research and read some pretty good history books. Grover Cleveland, yes, won two times without adjoining terms, but that's it. That's the only relevant point of all this. The only thing that President Trump and Grover Cleveland have is just that Grover Cleveland was the 22nd and 24th president of the United States. Yes, he did serve two non-consecutive terms yes, from 1885 to 1889 and from 1893 to 1897. Now Cleveland entered politics in his 40s. He was mayor of Buffalo in 1881, and he rose to prominence by winning the governorship of New York in 1882.

18:14 He was only known for being the first Democrat elected after the Civil War, won the presidency in 1884, and lost re-election in 1888, and then won again in 1892. Now, some say he was best known for his honesty, independence and opposition to political corruption, but, frankly, donald Trump had the major media against him for the last nine years, at every single step. Trump withstood two fraudulent impeachments. Trump withstood five criminal and civil suits to bankrupt him, to dehumanize him and to prevent him from running for the presidency again. That's never happened.

18:55 Frankly, two fraudulent impeachments have never happened to one president. This comeback is much greater and bigger than Grover Cleveland and, frankly, is bigger than even Andrew Jackson, who many historians have compared to Trump, not even close. The best of our American historians need to write about what happened yesterday, yesterday evening, as the greatest political comeback in American history Bar none. Bigger than Richard Nixon, bigger than Bill Clinton, and we can quit talking about Grover Cleveland, for gosh sakes. So in today's Liberty Minute, as the dust continues to settle on this political earthquake that just happened, americans came out and voted, and voted in big numbers.

19:47 They made it too big to rig and we will cover it all next week with a full debriefing, but for now, let's let liberty continue to rain down on this incredible country. On Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, those drums of liberty banged so loudly. American exceptionalism is rising from the ashes as we speak. Israel and Taiwan can rest a little easier. Iran and China and Russia can shrink back into their holes. America will begin a golden age of human flourishing, and thanks be to God for shedding his amazing grace on thee.
