Hello, my name David, and welcome back to this Liberty Minute. And it's going to be a little bit different, Liberty Minute. We have three segments we want to bring you. And as some of you have already noted and have reached out to me, we're going to discuss segment one. Why YouTube terminated the Mojo Academy YouTube channel? In segment two, we are going to check on the suicide of a nation, which we just featured over on our crazy uh versus common sense newsletter. And then in segment three, we are going to talk all about what is the Mojo Academy book brief and why is it on Substack.

YouTube Channel Terminated Without Warning

So with that, let's go right to segment one. So here's what happened on the banning of the Team Mojo Academy YouTube channel. A week ago, this past Friday, so Friday a week ago, got the email from YouTube. And before we do that, we haven't played the old breaking news sound piece yet. Let's let's dump that in here. That is right, folks. So we have been officially banned from YouTube. Let's go right to the email saying we have reviewed your content and found severe and repeated violations of our impersonation policy. Because of this, we have removed your channel from YouTube. Right here on this email. Fully banned. No warning email, no specific video flag, no clear violation named, just the email notice, and it was down. Checked it within seconds. Doesn't make any sense. No impersonation policy. Boy, oh boy. We are appealing this for sure. We're waiting in the appeal. In the meantime, I want to tell you exactly what this feels like because I think it matters more than just to me. You spend hours, hundreds of hours, building something on a platform. You show up week after week, you put in the real work, you do the editing, you cover the book, double check the quote twice. And then one morning a company you don't work for, answerable to a process you can't see, decides none of that gets to exist anymore. And that there's no hearing, no explanation. I understand that's what we all sign up for on YouTube. But boy oh boy, there's some other crazy things out there on YouTube. And not a lot is being taken down. So I'm not here to cry about it. We're gonna fight the appeal. If it doesn't work, we're gonna keep building anyway. We'll build on Substack, we'll build on other apps, but we'll just keep preaching the message. Building a flourishing life is what matters here.

Platforms As Landlords And Real Risk

For you out there, here's your nugget of wisdom. A platform can erase hundreds of hours of work without ever having to explain why it isn't a platform. It's a landlord who can throw you out of your house without notice. That's the real takeaway here. You see, that's it's just not my problem. That's an everybody's problem. That's what we found out with X, with Twitter. Elon must solve that. Anyone who has ever built something that they didn't own on a land they didn't control understands this. So we will will be certainly more scrutinous on what we build, how much time we spend. Uh editing videos takes a long time. And so this one, this one hurts. Certainly hurts, especially with the number of hours. Now we were certainly weren't a big channel. I mean, I think we were 87, 89 subscribers, but we were growing. Really hadn't really pushed in and dedicated into YouTube until March or April. But maybe maybe there's an easy explanation. Maybe this is just all algorithmic in terms of the banning, but boy, not to even get. I mean, at one point, way early on, two or three years ago, when I didn't even know what I was doing on the Academy YouTube channel, I had a copyright strike. There I understood. They said, hey, this video, I think it was taps. I put taps as the sound piece, and they said this has a copyright to it. And I thought, that's bizarre. Taps. Every high school band known to mankind plays taps. But regardless, I understood it. Didn't agree with it, but I understood it. This was just your your channel's down at 6 44 a.m. right after an email is sent to you. So I don't know if the channel was hacked. We'll figure it out. Certainly appealing it. We'll go through that process. Not I don't even know what how long that process takes, but be sure to check us out on Substack. Britain’s Crisis And Suicidal Empathy

go. But with that, let's move on to segment two. And before you begin segment two, let's let's throw in that breaking news sound piece again. I I missed that. That one sounded nice. There we go. There we go. It's the old podcast, I remember. All right, Suicide of a Nation. We covered this on the crazy versus common sense newsletter. If you haven't signed up, be sure to jump over there. We'll put a link in the show notes. It's a free newsletter. We're just talking about how crazy this political season is. It's literally the crazy versus the common sense. You can say it's Democrats and Republicans, and it's just the way it's been all the time, but it's not. It's folks, you're an ostrich if you think that's what's going on right now. This is not commonplace Republicans versus Democrats. It is crazy versus common sense. That's where we're at. Now, Suicide of a Nation, like I said, we covered this just last week in that newsletter. And it's a book by a British academic Matthew Goodwin. And Goodwin's argument was simple and devastating. Yep. Decades, Britain leaders made enormous decisions about immigration, about identity, about who the country even was without ever asking the people who had to live with those results. And here's the quote stop me cold in the book. Let's go to the book. Britain, I believe, is living through such a moment. For decades, the institutions that once embodied our nation, Parliament, the civil service, the courts, the police, the BBC, the universities, the schools, the museums have drifted away from the public they exist to serve. They no longer protect our interest. They merely perform a morality play for one another. Our country is now in the grip of a new ruling class, whose members see themselves not as custodians of a living nation, but as supervisors of a global humanitarian project that has no borders, no limits, no loyalty to the people whose taxes fund their salaries. Their defining ideology, as I will show you in this book, is suicidal empathy. A deeply twisted worldview that is destroying our country in the name of showing empathy to others. Suicidal empathy. Now you might remember, you might know of this phrase because it is a it's a book by Gad Sad is the author, G-A-D, S-A-A-D, he's a psychologist, and he has written the book Suicidal Empathy. Just came out, but many have been talking about this, this psychological, frankly, deeply twisted worldview. That's what it is. It's a great definition. And the UK is hemorrhaging because of this. If you get a chance, and I would highly recommend that you do read Suicide of a Nation, it literally is about the downfall of Britain, the UK in general, and it it's devastating. Frankly, to me, I think London is gone. London will never be what London ever was. It's not coming back. And I think 90% of you that read this book will come to the same same understanding. Now we like I said, we covered this in the Crazy Versus Common Sense newsletter, but also we paired it with Douglas Murray's The Madness of Crowds, which is about Europe, along with another book he wrote called The Strange Death of Europe. That's all about illegal immigration and and how Islam is taking over Europe. And that's that's just reality. That's what every everyone on the European continent is struggling with, and what the UK is now struggling with. Not only Islam, but but just foreigners in general, illegal and legal. And you say, well, what about the other party? Why doesn't if it's the Liberal or the Labor Party, why doesn't the Tory party, you know, why don't they push back and listen to their constituents? And they had a supermajority in 2019. They were given a supermajority by the voters and they turned their backs on them. And you'll read about that too. So it is a warning call, a canary in the coal mine, I think I wrote somewhere for the United States, because just think if the GOP turns its back on its voters, and we are left with Democratic Socialist and a very weak, more than trepid Rhino party. That is the reason why you see the Reform Party by Nigel Farage gaining so much strength in the UK now. It's their last play, but but London proper, the city is gone. I would love to hear your your your reactions to it once once you read the book. Let me know what you think about London. The UK might have a sh might have a chance in in general, but boy, London, just for decades and decades, everything has been hemorrhaging in London.

A Warning For US Politics

So why this is important to us, and I wanted to bring it up in this segment, is this is what I wrote in the newsletter. Britain is showing us what happens at the very end of the road we've been driving down ourselves. Just a different accent. It's the same road, very same road. But Britain and the UK as a country is at the edge of the cliff. Like I said, London, London in 2026, it's gone. It's changed forever. And we gotta be we we have to understand this is a canary in the coal mine for us in the United States. Now we also covered part of this story from a different angle. We covered it with Todd Benzman's overrun, which showed you what happens when a government stops treating its border as something worth defending. Years of promises that the door was open, millions of people who believed those promises and came, and then we had a horrific crisis that only got fixed the moment the closing became politically unavoidable, and Donald Trump did that. Now, granted, yes, we haven't had any border crossings in the last 15 months, 16 months, I think. But none of that is permanent. Like the GOP Congress with the House and the Senate, even very small, small majority in the House. There is Chiproy's The Pause Act. There is a lot of other stuff that we need to put into law, codify it, and we can't. Speaker Johnson is not bringing that up. We have even a weaker majority leader in majority leader thune. So there is there is a lot that still needs to be done. This is not everyone thinks that issue is solved. It is not, it's it's thankfully been completely stopped. The faucets off. We're deporting more and more each month, thankfully, but got a long way to go, and none of that is codified. So if a Democrat president gets in, it's just the executive orders away from changing it. So GOP Congress, it is not, it is not did some good things this this Congress. They only have, I think, four or five weeks, and we know the other side is crazy. We can't even pass common sense legislation. So, but that is segment two.

What The Mojo Book Brief Is

Let's move to segment three, keep things going, and answer what is, because some of you have asked me, what is the mojo book brief? So let's cover that in segment three. So, segment three, this one's gonna be a little bit different today, because I mentioned the full book brief on Suicide of a Nation that we just covered in the past segment. Talked about it in the crazy and common sense newsletter. But some of you have asked me lately, like, what tell me what is exactly the mojo book brief? Where do I find them? And what's the purpose of it? I don't understand it. All fair questions, and let me let me diagnose all this for you. Here's the easiest way to think about it. We have a Liberty Minute that we're doing today, all about liberty and freedom of speech, and platform shouldn't be able to remove you, but we're dealing with it. We have a mojo minute, both of those are bites, just you know, 15, 20 minutes, one sharp nugget or two or three, just enough to chew on a coffee break. You know, the mojo academy book brief is that similar thing in a written piece. It's an author's background, the strongest arguments, honest weaknesses, my verdict, nuggets, all in one sitting. So you can read it in the time it takes you to finish a cup of coffee. That was my that's our idea. It's not a full-fledged summary that repla, you know, pretends to replace the book. It's me telling you straight whether the book earned my time and whether it will earn yours. We have over 42 of them in. We have 42 of them in our library right now. We're gonna keep building those. Substack Hub And Academy Review Plans

I just haven't put it in front of you because it's still baking. We're gonna be rolling that out in the next couple months. It's called an Academy Review. And here's what you're gonna get it's six to h six to eight pages. It's a deep dive of some of the mojo academy book briefs, some not. And but it's our deep dive. It's where if you like the book brief and we have done an academy review, it's gonna give you more of the argument from the book. It's gonna come with a narrated audio version. It's gonna be dropped straight into your own private podcast style feed so you can take it on the road with you. So you can do the deep dive. They usually run anywhere from 35 minutes to 60 minutes. You can listen to it in the car, on the walk, wherever you normally throw in your pair of earbuds. Narration comes from me, yours truly. We beef it up a little bit. You get some nice classical music. It's just a fuller course. If the if the book brief is a sampler, this is the full meal. You're gonna get six to eight big long nugget items, quotes from the book, my commentary, and get them in a nicely aesthetic PDF. And the nice thing with PDFs is now there's many AI versions that you can just take PDFs and dump it, and you can collate your own your own private library. So we know you don't have the time to read everything, and you shouldn't have to. The mojo book brief gives you a little teaser to quotes my commentary on the book. Those are free. And then if you really want to, and we and the reason that we even have those is we know you're busy, we know you're hardworking, but over the cup of a coffee, you can very quickly read through this on your phone and figure out if you like the author, if you like the question the author is answering, and you don't have to go down that rabbit hole. And what I found was especially for Judeo-Christian believing folks, we're kind of we're the counterculture now. You know, there's a lot of these places that do summaries and everything that are AI driven, that you you don't even know what these people's world's view are. And they don't cover any of the books that we won't need to cover. You know, they're not covering Liberty and Tyranny by Mark Levin. They're not covering America's Cultural Revolution by Chris Ruffo. They're not covering common sense by Revolution of Common Sense by Scott Jennings, who, by the way, I would kind of I'm really hoping that Scott Jennings gets the new press secretary role. Because boy, that guy goes on CNN of all places. Just the dredges over there. He goes on CNN and just bats away like four arguments all at one time. So I think he could handle the White House press corps like you know, like no one's business. But I understand President Trump seems to prefer a woman in that position, but regardless. Getting back to the mojo book brief, that's the reason we created it, is uh just to give you real wisdom and less time, not a hot take, the actual argument, two quotes over a cup of coffee.
